Christmas Stockings Table Runner
It may be almost 100 degrees outside but I am thinking about Christmas stockings, a tree and snow! How about you? Of course I am sitting in my studio with the air conditioning cranked up so I can stay cool. The Island Batik ambassadors have been working like crazy this month on all kinds of beautiful projects for the holidays. Earlier this month I posted a different table runner that was also made with the Holiday Happenings collection from Island Batik.
I know I have mentioned this many, many times but I really love being a ambassador for Island Batik. Their fabrics are beautiful and I never seem to get tired of working with them!
We worked with the Holiday Happenings group of batiks from Island Batik for the Christmas In July projects. We also have a special Pinterest board where we each share our projects. Feel free to follow it!I think I will enjoy seeing this photo next December when there is snow and ice on the deck…….and no flowers.
My plan was to get a tutorial written for the Christmas Stockings table runner and…..I still haven’t finished it but I wanted to share the table runner as part of our Christmas in July. I can’t believe the month is almost over!
I didn’t do any quilting on the stockings as I haven’t decided what I would like. Hopefully by time I finish the tutorial I’ll have made a decision.
Gold Batik Mug Rug
One other small project I had worked on was a little mug rug that I forgot to blog about.I used a variegated Fantastico thread from Superior Threads for the background.I can’t remember what thread I used for the feather stitching, I think it might have been Glide or Bottom Line. My stitching isn’t the greatest, I think it would have been okay if I hadn’t over-stitched the center.
