Sunlit Garden is a new Signature collection by Jerry Khiev for Jennifer Thomas of Curlicue Creations from Island Batik. and I am excited to show my quilt pattern Stacks in Sunlit Garden.
Sunlit Garden Blog Hop
Jennifer Thomas has put together the Sunlit Garden Blog Hop and she started it off yesterday. When she asked me if I would like to take part in her blog hop I said yes right away as I love the beautiful red, green, and teal batiks in her collection.

Stacks Quilt
I always have fun making my Stacks quilt and this is the crib/lap quilt that uses just 9 fat quarters.

Sunlit Garden Collection
The Sunlit Garden collection has 20 different beautiful batik fabrics.

9 Fat Quarters
It was hard to pick only 9 different fabrics for my quilt, it was so much fun to put this together. The size of my quilt is approximately 46″ x 55″.

WOW!! Love this project and the process – so unique the way the patterns change in each block – and cost wise very effective. I had fat quarters I didn’t know how to use them. I used blues in floral and some patterns with white and it turned out beautifully and I was surprised how quickly it went together – and not to have to worry about matching those quarter seams!! I have shared this and will use this method a lot in the future – THANKS so much for sharing this.
Sorry I missed a couple posts – got hacked and – well it didn’t end well for the computer. But so good to see Rusty and you in action and the new quilt is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the tips!
What the dimensions for cutting the fat quarter squares both
vertical and horiztonal ?
I am so impressed with Rusty and how he sits still on your beautiful quilts. This time he is smiling. So cute. I love the Sunlit Garden fabrics!! They are gorgeous.
I really like the Stacks quilt in these fabrics. They are so vibrant.
Pretty quilt, but I must say those are “Rusty’s colors.” They bring out the best in his fur color!
Beautiful quilt, Connie!
Thanks Gail!
The quilt is so beautiful!! I always like quilts that may be simple and colorful. Rusty is so fortunate to be adopted by you! He looks so good now and I’m sure he feels all the love you have for him.
Thanks Kate, we sure love Rusty! Fast and easy quilts are my favorites!
The quilt is so pretty Connie. The fabrics make an adorable baby quilt.
I love the colors and especially love Rusty’s big smile! He is so cute and sweet.
Those fabrics are really beautiful and show off so well in your design. Rusty always looks so at home on the quilts. I hope the blizzard misses you.
Thanks Mary, so far no snow!
Previously purchased your Stacks pattern. Very EZ to make. I love this version with the Sunlit Garden collection. It is so bright and cheerful, just like Rusty’s smile!
Hope you are having warmer and better weather. Spring flowers are beginning to bloom.
Thanks Beverly, I’m glad you enjoyed making it!
I am so happy that Rusty has found a home where he’s loved and taken such good care of. He also makes a great model.
Thanks Angie, we are so happy to have him in our lives!
Such pretty colors in that fabric line. They made a great choice for that quilt.
