Welcome to my day on the Wicked blog hop, I hope you been having a wickedly good time!

Happy Spooks Halloween Wall Hanging

This was a pattern called Happy Spooks in the Simple Quilts & Sewing magazine and was designed by Kelly Mueller.  I had this cute Halloween kitty fabric by Hoffman Prints that I thought would work great for a border.  It ended up being about 19 x 25 inches when I was done.

If you haven’t been here before, I quilt on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine which only does a straight stitch. I do my applique free motion. Sometimes I do it close to the applique edge and other times…..like this I add in the extra longer lines for contrast.

All of the wet leaves on the ground looked so neat that I had to grab the wall hanging that I showed here and lay it on the ground too.Happy Spooks Halloween Wall Hanging

I also did a little paper piecing…….I am getting pretty comfortable with it since the Bowls with Borders blog hop (thanks Madame Samm and Regina).

This was a pattern for a postcard and I just added some more black to it to make it a good size for a pumpkin rug.  You can find the pattern at Quilted Delights under tutorials. I think it would be beautiful for Christmas trees too.
