Evergreens Wall Hanging in Best Christmas Quilts from Quilters NewsletterI am so excited to have another pattern that was published in a magazine! Evergreens is a small hanging – 14 x 26 that is in Best Christmas Quilts from Quilters Newsletter.

I used the beautiful Seashore collection from Island Batik and the background batik actually has a little scallop design in it and I just free motion quilted the lines in it.

Evergreens wall hanging on a bench great gift

Would you believe that I actually took the photos last March! Notice how the grass hadn’t even turned green yet. This would make a wonderful gift and could be used as a wall hanging or a table runner.

I just had to take a picture of the magazine…..my quilt is on page 62 and Best Christmas Quilts is available from Quilters Newsletter. There is even a short page on their website talking about my Evergreens quilt!Best Christmas Quilts fromEvergreens quilt in Quilters Newsletter page 62I have really enjoyed having a couple quilts in magazines and I have other projects and things coming up.Evergreens wall hanging makes a wonderful giftI do all of my piecing and free motion quilting on my 15-91 gear driven Singer sewing machine which only does a straight stitch. I do a free motion applique which for me is actually faster than straight stitching around every little piece. I like using batiks as they are tightly woven and don’t fray much at all.Freemotion applique done on batik evergreen tree wall hangingI am very proud to have Evergreens published in Best Christmas Quilts!Best Christmas Quilts from Quilters NewsletterNext week I will be taking part in a blog hop for Suzy Webster’s new book Folk Art Quilted Traditions.Folk Art Quilted Traditions blog hopI’ll be sharing my project with you on Monday, October 10th and here is a little sneak peek at what it will be.
