Jennifer Thomas has put together the Sunlit Garden Blog Hop and she started it off yesterday. When she asked me if I would like to take part in her blog hop I said yes right away as I love the beautiful red, green, and teal batiks in her collection.

Stacks Quilt

I always have fun making my Stacks quilt and this is the crib/lap quilt that uses just 9 fat quarters.

9 Fat Quarters

It was hard to pick only 9 different fabrics for my quilt, it was so much fun to put this together. The size of my quilt is approximately 46″ x 55″.

Quilt Pattern

Stacks has 6 different sizes and a table runner in the pattern. You can find it in my Shop or Etsy and it is on sale for 25% off this week.

I had a flannel in my stash that worked perfectly for the backing of my quilt and it is Rusty approved.

Info On Quilt

I couldn’t resist, I know many of you love seeing Rusty and he is getting so good at posing! Here is info on my quilt.

Outside

Our weather has been beautiful but it sounds like we will be getting rain and then possibly a blizzard on Wednesday. I was able to go outside and get a photo that really shows off the beautiful Sunlit Garden fabrics!

WOW!! Love this project and the process – so unique the way the patterns change in each block – and cost wise very effective. I had fat quarters I didn’t know how to use them. I used blues in floral and some patterns with white and it turned out beautifully and I was surprised how quickly it went together – and not to have to worry about matching those quarter seams!! I have shared this and will use this method a lot in the future – THANKS so much for sharing this.

  2. Sorry I missed a couple posts – got hacked and – well it didn’t end well for the computer. But so good to see Rusty and you in action and the new quilt is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the tips!
