September is my favorite time of the year when it starts cooling down. Let’s take a look at Monday Happenings 26 In My Studio.

Monday Happenings 26 In My Studio

I thought this was a perfect time to work on a flannel quilt. This is going to be a Split Rail Fence lap quilt. I still need to put the binding on but Rusty has already claimed it!

It is hard to believe that it will be 3 years in November when we rescued him. Then if you pointed a phone or camera at him he turned away and cringed, not anymore.

I am using the Holly Jolly 2½ inch strips from Missouri Star Quilt Company.

Threaded Chaos Blog Hop

Today is the start of the Island Batik Threaded Chaos blog hop. We were challenged to make a Crazy Quilt with the Spring collection we received as an Island Batik ambassador.

Brenda from Songbird Designs begins the blog hop using the Aurora collection. Be sure and visit her blog and see the beautiful quilt she created using the Quilt as You Go method. Her quilt is stunning!

Sneak Peek

I thought I would share a sneak peek at my quilt which I’ll be sharing on Thursday, September 11th. I am using the Earth Essence collection and made a quilt for my grandson.

Apple Mug Rug

Do you remember my Harvest Pumpkin mug rugs tutorial? I had a mistake in the directions and for me, the easiest way to check this is to make something again.

I thought why not make an apple? I’ll share more on that soon.

Fat Quarter Shop Sew Sampler

Last week I received the August Sew Sampler which had not 1 but 3 charm packs in it! I made a video showing everything in the box.

Card Making

In between quilting I am still making cards. This is such a fun hobby. This is my latest card.

Quilt/Card Making Studio

I think it might be time to share my studio again as I have moved things around quite a bit. I find organizing things is almost a hobby of its own and I love doing it.

  7. That flannel quilt looks so cozy. It’ll be great for the cooler temps. Rusty appears to approve too. The Apple mini is as cute as the pumpkin one. I may have to make an addition to my pumpkin. The card section of your studio looks amazing. Everything is so tidy. You newest card is beautiful.
