by Kate Henderson has 18 fun projects with easy designs and great instructions. Kate also shares a lot of information about working with 2 1/2″ strips in quilts. It is published by Martingale and I was sent a copy to review.
The quilt on the cover really caught my eye and I had a group of gray 2 1/2 inch strips that I thought would be fun to use in her quilt called Night Sky.
I have already made up a few blocks and the directions are very easy to follow with plenty of color pictures and diagrams.
Many of the quilts have great borders on them, this quilt is called Snowball Explosion.
The colors in this simple quilt really caught my eye and check out the border on Summer Picnic.
The quilt is called Kaleidoscope and only uses 29 – 2 1/2 inch strips plus the background.
Color Block Coins is a great way to show off your colors!

Don't worry, I promise not to spam you.
The name of this quilt is That 70s Quilt, funny…..I think I had a kitchen with these colors in the 70s!
Reflections is the name of this fun quilt in reds and teals and uses simple triangles.
With 18 different quilts and 7 unique borders this would make a great book for someone looking for ideas to work with 2 1/2 inch strips.

Did you know if you buy a quilt book from Martingale you also get a e-book when you order a print version. I prefer print versions of books but a e-book is nice so you can print the appliques with your printer.

Hmmmm……looks like I may need to check this book out! Thanks for the review!
Since I recently purchased several books from them,I did know that you also receive an e-book! Pretty sweet if you ask me :0) Looks like you picked a good one.
I have several strip quilt books and have yet to make a quilt from them. Hmmmm not like I don't have the strips.
That looks like a really fun book, Connie. I try not to 'overload' on books as I am sure I have enough patterns and books for 10 lifetimes. Still … I DO have a lot of jelly rolls sitting in the closet, too. 😀
