I finished up this cute little mug rug…….almost looks like Spring colors doesn’t it? My sister-in-law brought over some homemade cookies….oops I took a bite out of it before I realized it was the last one and looked perfect on my little mug rug! It was yummy.
This is made with some batiks I had on hand…..imagine that and I used my Sizzix Big Shot to cut out the flower, then some free motion quilting and it was done. I forgot to take photos of the steps so I made another one out of Christmas fabrics but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for a fast and easy tutorial on it.
In the meantime I have a couple pairs of Builder Bob’s jeans that need a little mending. That isn’t my favorite thing to do but my old Singer sewing machine does a fantastic job on denim……so well that my dad has several pair of work pants that have more patches than actual fabric anymore. My brother also brings me his overalls to mend. I just tell everyone I DON’T replace zippers…….yuck!
Be sure and stop by tomorrow for my mug rug tutorial. You can now find the Christmas Mug Rug tutorial – here.
It's the perfect little mug rug Connie! I might jist make one as a Christmas gift!
I love the colors! What a pretty mug rug!
What a pretty mug rug. The cookie looks pretty yummy too. Cherry???
The old machines are really workhorses on those heavy projects. I'll send my jeans off to you and I'll do your zippers.
Ooh very pretty mug rug. And what is that cookie? It looks very simliar to the peanut blossom cookies but that is defnitely not peanut butter. It looks yummy.
Very pretty design!
Love it. Your twirly quilting looks perfect on these fabrics. It sure is puuurrrrty.
Hope this little project means you are feeling better. Hope so. Hugs!
I love those beautiful colors!
Too, too cute!!! I'm planning some mug rugs for Christmas – better get started soon :*)
Love the mug rug fabric! So pretty! I spend the first week of September every year hemming jeans for everyone. Not my favorite activity, but the girls across the street are so happy that the technique I use makes them look like they were not hemmed.
Love your happy looking mug rug! I think I could make mug rugs for days, what is about them? So cute.
You know what they say "asking a quilter to mend is like asking Picasso to paint the garage." Look forward to the tutorial.
What a cute little mug rug. I'm with you on zippers – and I don't mend, either! 😀
Beautiful Mug rug!
Your mug rug is so pretty! You're right, the cookie looks great with it!
I spent some time Thanksgiving mending my grandson's jeans. He's only 5 and the jeans were so skinny, I couldn't get them on the arm of my machine. I had to mend by hand. He thought it was magic, though. Worth every stitch!
Mug rug is beautiful! Cookie looks yummy. I don't do zippers either, LOL!
I had rather put in a zipper than to mend… How about we trade out. lol
Love your mugrug!
