St Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and everyone was celebrating it here yesterday and I figured I had better show you my table topper made with the Snail’s Trail die from AccuQuilt. This table topper is 24″ x 24″ and perfect for the center of a table.
I have really, really been having fun with the Snail’s Trail die from AccuQuilt and the new GO! BIG electric cutter – this is my fourth project with it!
About a month ago I won a bundle of batiks from QuiltShopGal and used two of the batiks for this table topper. There is a weekly #CreativeGoodness Linky Party every week and I will be linking this post there this week.
Last week I shared my Colorful Snails quilt and how the pieces of the block went together……I couldn’t resist showing it again.
I really should have timed making the four blocks because it didn’t take very long. Everything matches up perfectly.
Once I had the blocks finished I laid them out a couple different ways before I decided what I liked the best. I almost picked this and thought of doing some applique in the center.
Another fun way.
I ended up going with the traditional look.
I did a simple stipple quilting on it, I was going to do some straight lines on the green parts but…..I forgot and started stippling a little bigger in one of the green sections so……forget the straight lines. Note to myself: quit daydreaming while free-motion quilting. Have you made a St Patrick’s Day project?
Connie, Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
A beautiful and quick project! I may try it later today (pushing my other projects aside)
I too day dream while quilting, makes for some interesting quilting….in a good way.
Thank you for all the wonderful quilts that you share.
What a cute runner! Thanks for the idea.
Love these greens in the snails trails.

Very fun and festive!
Cute topper! 🙂
Greetings from Ireland and Happy St Patrick's Day!
That looks fantastic!
Connie, you are so blessed to have this electronic Go Cutter and your dies!! It is on my wish list for a SOMEDAY purchase!! If I sewed as much as you do I would have already purchased it.
I love your St. Paddy's Day snail trail doily for your coffee table. VERY NICE
I chuckled when you said "not to self to stop daydreaming when doing FMQ." I would have tried the straight part first, because I would have not remembered, either. It looks great.
Spending a few minutes to catch up and I love your traditional green table topper for St. Patrick's. The Snail Trail is very clever. Creative Green Bliss…
What a wonderful little quilt! and so perfect for the holiday. Thank you for showing exactly how you put these together. Love your work!
I enjoyed visiting your week's worth of posts this week! I want to start an orange peel quilt some day…and your find the best hops…like the Bird Hop! Your tablerunner is great…hope you'll share is this week at TUesday ARchives as our theme is Anything Green! Yours fits the bill perfectly! Hope your weekend has been great! V
How cute, great for St. Patricks day, but can be used all through spring and other holidays too!
I love this!
Hi Connie…..I've requested the regular GO cutter for birthday/Mother's Day, and am looking forward to having fun with it. I like your alternative layouts and think a Shamrock would look great in the center of it, but then, if something were put on top of it, you wouldn't see it, I guess. They are all pretty and look forward to what you might be doing for Easter. Enjoy the day.
