Pumpkin Kisses & Harvest Wishes

Fall is the perfect time to think of pumpkin kisses & harvest wishes! I printed out a couple of cute little puppies with pumpkins and autumn leaves that I created in Midjourney’s AI.

I have a free PDF of both images and also two PDFs that could be printed as wall art. You’ll find these at the end of this post.

Printed on polyester fabric

I printed the photos on a sublimation printer and then heat-pressed the images onto polyester fabric. The print is embedded into the fabric, unlike the fabric transfer sheets which have the image lying on the fabric which makes it a little difficult to stitch through.

Several weeks ago I showed the cute dog pictures that I printed on fabric sheets. I actually have finished the quilt and I guess I forgot to post about it. I’ll do that soon.

The prints are also fun to print out and frame for autumn. Here is the Pumpkin Kisses & Harvest Wishes saying as a cute photo.

Another way to print on fabric

I know a sublimation printer is something most quilters don’t have so I recently bought Bubble Jet Set 2000 and I will use it with my inkjet printer and let you know how it works. I actually bought some back in 2016 and never used it. It might still be good but I’ll use the new bottle first.

Creating a mini wall hanging

I cut the puppy photos into 4½-inch squares and then added a 1½-inch border.

adding strips to the image

I ended up with a 6½-inch square. Note: I kept this size for the second mini-wall hanging.

6 1/2 inch quilt block

For some reason, I decided to make the border smaller and trimmed off 1/2-inch from all sides.

I'll email you this post so you can come back to it later.

Don't worry, I promise not to spam you.

For the second border, I added 1½-inch strips. Note: for the second mini-wall hanging, I cut 2-inch strips for the border.

Adding a second border

I then added batting and backing and quilted them.

Both mini wall hangings are small and I cut my binding at 2¼-inches instead of 2½-inches. One width of 40-42-inch fabric was enough.

Two different sizes of mini wall hangings

Both images are 4½-inches (4-inches finished). The difference in size is just what the borders were.

  • 8½-inch mini wall hanging

I have also created two cute wall art that you can print out and frame. The frame I used was from the Dollar Store and was 8 x 9.

  1. Oh, Connie! These are absolutely adorable!!! Thank you so much for sharing these with us!! Blessings!!!

  2. Love these puppy blocks – finished my bears (the furry kind, not the Chicago kind) with fabric from an online cheap fabric shop. Not great quality but so cute. Got some more Halloween lights up and now for the outside. Thanks!

Hi Connie: This is so cute! You are the most talented quilter. You are never afraid to try new ideas and then share them with your readers. Autumn here in Southern Utah has no spectacular colors however the weather is very pleasant.Hope you are enjoying your Autumn.
