I really had fun working with this beautiful bundle of Pleasant Summer House from Fat Quarter Shop. I received a fat quarter bundle and one additional yard that I used for the binding. I actually have enough fabric left to make another table topper which isn’t done yet.
We had some snow yesterday and I thought it would be fun to take the runner and table topper outside.
This first thing I made was this table topper. I have always loved all the fabrics that Heather Mulder Peterson designs and Fat Quarter Shop did a wonderful Designer Tidbits all about her that you should check out if you missed it.
Since I had quite a bit of fabric left over I decided to make a table runner.
I had it all finished and then thought it needed a little something extra added to it…..so I free motion appliqued some pretty flowers on it. I think it added just the right touch!
I hope to write a tutorial for the table runner soon!

I couldn’t resist sharing one more photo of the snow…….since then I have shoveled the deck once and it needs it again…..heavy wet snow.
Same tree as before but this shows the snow coming down.
Tomorrow is the big day for us….we should be getting our new high speed internet which is great because what we are on now…..just sent me a email saying we were almost to our limit and our month doesn’t end until March 7th. Wish me luck!

I love Heather's fabrics and designs as well. Your octagonal table topper is so pretty. Did you make it using the same method as your Easter rainbow tutorial? It looks a little different with the thin stripes and the same fabric all around. I really like it and am dying to find out how to make one like yours.

Your quilt and table toppers are wonderful. Summer House is absolutely my favorite fabric line right now. I like your photo of the geese tracks too. 🙂 And your comment about the first barge on the river was cheering. We are all tired of winter!

It's tough to choose which of the fabrics is my favorite Connie. I think it would have to be Summer House Yellow Spike Floral. I just love the two toned blue colors used in the flowers rather than to have them be just one color against the background. Very pretty
