Today is the first day of the Four Seasons Blog Hop with all of the Island Batik Ambassadors, on Wednesday I’ll be sharing my quilt project made with Alphine Ice. There will be lots of giveaways and beautiful projects shared during the blog hop. Be sure to visit the ambassadors that are sharing their Four Seasons quilts each day by clicking on the links below. Island Batiks is also doing a giveaway on their blog that you’ll want to enter also.
The flu bug hit Builder Bob hard on New Years Day and he was in bed for 3 days. Being the sweet and kind guy that he is……he shared it with me. Yesterday was the first day that I have felt good since catching it last Thursday which is why I have been silent. I sure hope we are done with the flu for the year. The interesting thing about it was that Builder Bob got his flu shot and I didn’t. I actually think he was sicker than me, mine just lingered a little longer.
Builder Bob is back working on his party room project. Our basement/garage party room should be done by spring. Can you guess what he is building? A shuffleboard table that is 14 foot long! We just ordered the Shuffleboard pucks from Amazon.
I am also doing a guest post on AccuQuilt’s blog today that you might enjoy!

Oh Connie I wish you hadn’t said that! One just doesn’t know which strain of the various flus either of you got. The flu shot protects from a variety and they one for this year missed the prevalent strain. When people who didn’t get the “shot” don’t get sick they take all the credit but let one person who got vaccinated get sick…
My middle daughter contracted whooping cough at 3 years old – even though she’d been vaccinated – and if she had a mild case I don’t ever want to see it full-blown. It’s the same with any of the diseases we vaccinate for.

Hope you feel better soon. I need to get busy catching up on the blog hop. Can’t wait to see your project.

The flu has been really bad here in Texas as well. So glad you guys are doing better. Shuffle board is so much fun!

I’ve heard of so many with the flu after the flu shot. Guess it was not a great match this year. Glad you are feeling a bit better now.
I love those heart pillows. They would be so pretty for Valentine’s Day decorating.

Sorry y’all had such a rough start to the new year! Hopefully, things will just be great from here on… Love the bright colors of fruit slices! Looking forward to what you have to share with us. As long as it isn’t the flu!

So glad to hear you and Builder Bob are feeling much better. I also had the flu in spite of my shot…however it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I did avoid ER by going to the doctor. Love your hearts pillows. I’m off to hop…<3
