Batik Crayon Table Runner

Batik Crayon Table Runner
I had this little bundle of Island Batik fabrics and I decided to make them into one last project for 2014……..a bright and cheerful table runner!
The finished size is 16 x 38
.I forgot to take a picture of the pieces but they were about 3½-inches x 5-inches and fit perfectly on part of the AccuQuilt GO! Kite die. I also had a ½ yard piece of a light green neutral batik that worked with the other batiks.
Can you see how the Accuquilt die is able to cut the pieces so they are easy to line up? In minutes I had them all cut.
From each small piece, I was able to make 2 blocks.
Save this for later!
Don't worry, I promise not to spam you.
This would actually go with the Halloween wall hanging I made and showed here or my Kitty Kitty pattern
The bright colors immediately made me think of Crayola crayons and coloring books! This would be so cute in a child’s room. I lucked out in having just enough of the purple and multi print for the 2½-inch strips for the quilt binding.
My granddaughters will be coming for a visit after New Year and I have plenty of crayons, paints, and beads to keep them busy. We are going to do T-shirts again!
Here is a photo of the runner before I quilted it. I think the lime green is just a little too bright but…..I wanted to use each little piece up!
Have you ever made kite quilt blocks? AccuQuilt actually has several different sizes of their Kite die.

I love this little runner Connie! I received some pretty batiks for Christmas from my grand-daughter – this might just be the project. And I think I'll start saving pennies for a GO of my own! Looks fun! Happy New Year!
That looks so great Connie! I love the scene you set up with the toys and crayons and coloring books – LOL, it makes me want to sit down and color. Have a wonderful time with your granddaughters!
This is so beautiful Connie! Isn't it fun using the dies to cut things out super quick!
I love it Connie!
Another great project Connie. Santa didn't bring me a GO Baby this year so I might have to do some more saving so I can buy my own. I love all the things you use yours for.
