Piano Keys table runner made with Full Bloom from Island Batik

So has anyone else made a runner from my Piano Keys tutorial? I still had some Full Bloom by Island Batik. The background fabric which looks like it is little rain drops is also a batik called Heavenly Hues Halo from Island Batik.

Freemotion by the River is now a Island Batik Ambassador

Last Monday Debbie from Stitchn’ Therapy showed a couple Piano Keys table runners that she made and when I read her post I realized that I didn’t mention in my tutorial that you had to switch just 2 of the 7 ½ in strips to make sure the colors don’t line up across from each other. You can see in the photo below which two I switched.

Debbie also made one in florals that is beautiful using this design and did quilted feathers in the center.

A different way of sewing the table runner

Here was my pink table runner laid out that way, it would be great on a table with a centerpiece in the middle of it.

There are all kinds of variations. I can also see making a baby quilt or throw with a design like this.
