August 2026 Quilt UFO
July was a busy month for me, did you finish your quilt UFO? I just picked my August 2026 Quilt UFO and it will definitely be a challenge to get finished.

Evening Star Table Topper
My July UFO was the Evening Star Table Topper by Melissa Gilbert from Little House on the Prairie.
It is fun to make a quilt from just one BIG quilt block and I did enjoy making this.

Table Topper
This is supposed to be a table topper but it is too big for my table and too big for a wall hanging. I could turn it into a small quilt but I decided to stop on this UFO. Maybe sometime in the future I’ll decide what to do with it.
Have you ever done that with a quilt project?

Vintage Christmas
I’m getting toward the end of quilt projects so I shouldn’t have been surprised that the Lori Holt Vintage Christmas was the one that I picked this month. This is a great book and has 6 inch and 12 inch quilt blocks. I’m making the 6 inch blocks and using fabrics from Lori Holt. I subscribed to her monthly membership for one year so I have lots and lots of her fabrics.
I think this is the one that is my biggest challenge. I have a busy month so we’ll see how much I get done on this.

My YouTube Video
If you like videos, here is my video sharing my July UFO and then picking my August one.
I pulled out all of the UFOs I’ve made so far this year and share them in the video.
Join me in this challenge!
I would love to have you join me in this challenge. Take a photo of the unfinished quilt project you just finished or are working on.

My August UFO – I now remember why I put this project in a time-out. Originally, it was going to be a jacket, but the blocks are too big. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet – clothing or a quilt. More blocks are needed, so I’m working on that now.
Love your new fabric collection. Batiks are so wonderful to work with. I follow you via your e-mail newsletters.
Connie, thank you for sharing and reminding us all the UFOs you have completed so far this year!!! BRAVO By the way, did your new long arm machine ever arrive? Have you quilted on it yet? Let us know.
Hi Renee, it has taken 6 months but it is being delivered tomorrow. I’m trying to remember how to use it, hopefully they will walk me through it.
What a beautiful table topper. I’d hate to put that away. Have you thought about doing a piano key border all the way around or adding acorns, pumpkins, and leaf blocks all around to make it big enough for a quilted tablecloth? That would be beautiful on your table.
OMG girl … you have been so busy . I feel like a slacker ; ) … Life keeps getting in the way of sewing. So many beutiful projects.
That turned out so well. Those fabrics are so pretty together, a nice subtle look. I’m impressed you got the top finished with all the blog hop sewing you did this month.
