Save the Bees BOM
There were four blocks in this BOM and I am so tickled to have it completed my Save the Bees BOM!
I didn’t add all of the borders, instead I decided to make the sides a little wider and used some of the yellow batik from Island Batik that I had left. I wanted to make a sweet little baby quilt for my project.
Isn’t it neat to see how you can take a pile of beautiful batiks and turn them into a quilt!
Jacquelynne included complete directions for a beautiful pieced border if you would prefer that. I’m sure she’ll be showing one like that on her blog.
The Block Of the Month patterns are free for a limited time but you must sign up to receive them by email. Be sure to visit this page on her website and get signed up.
There is also a Facebook page where you can share photos of your blocks – Sew Quilty Friends.
You are going to really enjoy this! Did I mention that there will be giveaways! Keep reading to find out what the giveaway for December is.
Be sure and visit Jacquelynne’s Save the Bees Project post the month and don’t forget that there are giveaways at all of the different blogs taking part in the BOM.
I really enjoyed using the tools that Olfa sent each of the quilters taking part in the Save the Bees Block of the Month. A new Olfa Splash rotary cutter, a folding cutting mat and a 6½” Olfa Frosted ruler made it easy to make the Save the Bees quilt.
Thanks so much Olfa and Jacquelynne!
Congrats to the winner!
The prize for December will be a fat quarter bundle of Prettiful Posies by Sarah Maxwell for Studio 37 (US winners). International winners will receive a pattern bundle (printed patterns).
- Giveaway open to US and international readers.
