It is always fun to look back at a year and see what has been my best blog posts of 2018 that everyone is interested in. It wasn’t a surprise to see that the quilt tutorials have been the most popular.
Best of 2018
This year I have created a Resource Library which has all kinds of free tutorials that can be downloaded just by signing up for my newsletter.
I took a class called List Love which has really taught me a lot about the importance of growing an email list and also using ConvertKit.
My mailing list has grown to almost 3,000 people since August when I started it.
With the recent changes that Craftsy has made, I am glad I have a pattern shop on my website and a great group of people who enjoy my website. I used to have 40 patterns on Craftsy and now have 4. I am hopeful that the changes coming in 2019 with Craftsy will be good.
I was also using WooCommerce on my website to sell my digital quilt patterns but I have now switched to a store on Shopify.
Truthfully my Christmas tutorials have been the most popular but I have been sharing them so much lately that I thought I would list a few of the other popular posts.
This sweet little tablerunner tutorial has been very popular this year. I think having a downloadable PDF has been very popular also. If you have some charm packs in your stash, you’ll have fun making this table runner. This is a simple 9 patch that uses little 1½” squares that you can pull out of your stash or use a charm pack like I did.
How about a precious little baby quilt made with batik hearts! I shared this tutorial as part of the Put a Little Love in your Quilt blog hop at Just Le Me Quilt. It doesn’t matter what time of year you make this quilt but if you are looking for a quilt project around Valentine’s Day, then this is a good one for you. Use some fat quarters of batik to make this!
This is a quilted wall hanging that is fun to create and perfect for Valentine’s Day or any time of the year.
I have been going back and updating some old tutorials like this one which continues to make it a popular post.
5. Fabric Baskets
Have you made a fabric basket or two? This blog post has been my all time most popular post. This post had over 30,000 views this year.
Thank you Cheryl from Meadow Mist Designs for organizing the Best of 2018 Linky Party!
I hope you have enjoyed my Best Blog Posts of 2018! If you make any quilt project using these or any of my patterns, I would love to see them!
