Welcome to another Linky Tuesday at Freemotion by the River!
It is always so neat when someone sends you a gift and when I received this one from Mary at NeedledMom I knew it would be special as it was Pelly!
Several years ago we rescued a young pelican and I blogged about him for the short 2 weeks that we had him and so many people fell in love with little Pelly. I really need to put all of those posts together in one page. Many have asked what finally happened to Pelly and I never heard whether he stayed in the St. Louis zoo or went back to the wild. I really like to think he is safe in the zoo.
The Pelican is a new pattern from another friend Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts and it is free! Look at the quilting on Pelly! Isn’t that neat and notice the little label that says Pelly 2018. Mary lives in California and said she couldn’t resist putting Pelly on a Starfish background. Thanks so much Mary!
Did you see the beautiful batik quilt from Kathleen McMusing? If you missed it you’ll want to see the diagrams of how she quilted it.
Here is a quilt that uses selvages and strings from Sally’s leftovers. She has been making these blocks for 3 years. I really like them! We’ll have to wait and see what design she decides on.c
