Linky Tuesday August 1st

Welcome to another Linky Tuesday at Freemotion by the River!

Share your quilts, pictures, recipes or other posts with everyone!

Billie Bee goalLast week Billie from BillieBee’s Blog shared the beautiful flimsy she pieced. Her goal was to just piece one row and she ended up piecing the whole thing! Congrats Billie! Do you make quilting goals? I know I do and it really helps.

Thanks for sharing and please grab a Featured button. Visit the Linky Tuesday page for the buttons.

Believe it or not…….

My dad came home on Sunday! Luckily his pain stayed under control on the drive home, by time we got close to home my dad said “Boy is that a long drive!”. Tell me about it! LOL

Sadie was in seventh heaven when she saw him! Once we got upstairs in his room she couldn’t wait to jump up on the bed and lay with him. I think he was tickled to see her also.

Between Builder Bob and Papa ChooChoo……..Sadie is having a tough time deciding who she wants to be with. She has no interest in me once again.Dad and Sadie on the bed

He is doing a lot better than we thought at getting in and out of bed and had no problem at all doing the 14 steps. The catheter is still in and his wound has to be changed twice a day still. A visiting nurse is coming today so I’ll find out more about that. Tomorrow I take him to his regular doctor and on Thursday he goes to the Pain Clinic. Both places are close to Manor Care where he did his therapy……back to the cities.

Hopefully they can figure out something other than pain killers for the pain. Thanks for all of the precious comments that have helped me through all of this!

Now it is your turn to share a project!

I’m happy to see your Dad is home again and things are going better than expected so far. Hopefully things will continue that way. Too funny Sadie is ignoring you again now that he’s home.

So glad dad is home and safely ensconced in bed with Sadie to watch over him! Praying for him and for your health as you care for him and shuttle him back and forth for doctor appointments. I know he will rest better at home with your loving care!!!

It is probably good for your dad that Sadie likes to lay with him. Hope all continues to go well.

So glad you got him home, I think he looks relieved to be home. He’ll probably heal faster with Sadie by his side for company! I hope all goes well for all of you.

There is nothing like a dog at your side to ease stress. My wishes are all good for him, for you, and for the doctors to figure out the best care. I’m sure he’s delighted to be home.

Am so glad to know your Dad is home & feeling better. It will still be a long road to full recovery but he has started. Just remind him (and you) when you both get frustrated with little progress. Prayers will continue for healing & recovery

    Hi Connie,
I am SO glad to hear that your dad is home and is doing slightly better. I sure hope they find the root of the pain. He looks tired in the picture, but I love how Sadie is right there. I’ll bet she will stick closeby. ~smile~ Roseanne
