Bullseye Batik Quilt

It is always fun to be able to share a photo of Sadie sitting on a quilt. Of course, this involves Builder Bob getting her to lay on the quilt and then look at him behind me. It is always worth it though, isn’t she a cutie!
Bullseye Batik Quilt
22″ x 32″ (after washing)
Last week I shared my tutorial for the batik Bullseye quilt and I couldn’t wait to put a few blocks together for a small quilt or this could be a table topper. The photo above actually shows the Bullseye quilt after it has been washed.

When you look at the next couple of photos you are seeing the quilt before it got washed. As I mentioned before, batiks are wonderful for raw-edge applique and the Bullseye circles.
I have a bunch of the circles and block backgrounds cut out and hopefully…….by this winter I’ll make a larger Bullseye quilt. Here is a closeup of one of the Bulls Eye quilt blocks before it was washed. All of the quilting was done with Aurifil thread, I am really liking the neutral color I have been using. Here is a closeup of the Bulls Eye block after it was washed.
Remember that I just kind of eye-balled the placement of the circles. when I cut the Bulls Eye circles into quarters they were always perfect which works for me. Notice the center block in the bottom row…..just a little wonky.
This was a photo of the Bulls Eye blocks before they were sewn together and then quilted. Many of the batiks are from Island Batik. Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway! The giveaway for the batik circles has ended and Susan G is the winner, congrats! I sent her an email.
My dad is still getting rehab and I’ll share more on that with you tomorrow. Hopefully, he will be home soon.
We seem to have quilted things everywhere in our house! I recently made some new curtains which might look old-fashioned but we still really like that look. We also installed blinds to cut down on the glare.

What a FUN little quilt!! I had wanted to make that pattern for ages and finally made it in miniature. My version is about 12″ square with 9 circular motifs. It was a pleasure to make. I’m sure you would agree.
