Linky Tuesday May 23rd
Welcome to another Linky Tuesday at Freemotion by the River!
Share your quilts, pictures, recipes or other posts with everyone!
Last week Sharon from Five Shadows shared photos of a beautiful table runner that she quilted with a clam shell quilting ruler and also share this neat photo of the tension being wrong, it is so neat! This is on the back side of the runner and you might be surprised to see what she did with it.
Thanks for sharing and please grab a Featured button. Visit the Linky Tuesday page for the buttons.
This has been a hectic week for me and I’m afraid I didn’t get to visit many of your pages from last week. I took my dad to the ER last Monday night for a Obstructed Bowel (10:00 pm). They kept him in the hospital hoping it would get better but Saturday night they did surgery.
He has been feeling better since then but yesterday he was starting to go into A-Fib with his heart so we’ll see what happens. He has already had stints, a heart valve replacement and a pace-maker. At 84 he still gets on the treadmill every day and walks at least a half hour! The hospital is 25 miles away and I go up every day. When I get home I’ve been quilting like crazy as I have a bunch of stuff I need to get down before we head out of town on the first (as long as dad is okay). Busy, busy!!
I finished a quilt yesterday that I’ll be sharing with you on Wednesday and decided it would be perfect for my June calendar with Sadie. Someone was being silly and didn’t want her picture taken…….I just had to share this with you! Did I get a good one of her……you’ll have to wait and see!
Now it is your turn to share a project!

Prayers for you, your loved ones and your Dad! What a strong man he must be to still be using the treadmill! Take care, my dear! 🙂

I hope your dad can convert back on his own. Surgery is so hard on the elderly. Still keeping him in my prayers.
It does look like Sadie was teasing you with your photo shoot.

Sorry to hear your dad is not doing well. I hope he is well enough for you to head out of town but I understand your not wanting to be to far away while he is not well.
I look forward to seeing more pictures of the June quilt.

Connie – sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he pulls through and is back on that treadmill in no time!

I’m sorry about the new heart problems with your Dad and the first concern he went to the ER for will continue in a positive way. Worrying about our parents is really tough. I don’t know how you can stay focused even while working on promised work to complete that. I was going to email earlier today to ask how things were going with your Dad and am a bit sidetracked/frazzled myself today so I didn’t get a chance yet to email. I’m glad to see an update here.
Hugs Connie.

So sorry about your Dad. I hope he improves, glad you are there for him.
Your ‘quilt model’ Sadie, is adorable.
I got a chuckle this morning when I opened your blog and saw my tension mistake featured here!

Hi Connie,
How you had time to finish a quilt (with a cute little guy posing or not) is beyond me. I am sorry to hear about your Dad. {{Hugs}} for you. I hope this is a much better week for both of you.

Sending prayers and hugs to you and your dad.

Connie, what a week you’ve had! Hope your dad continues to improve and you get some much deserved rest. Miss Sadie just defeated her own purpose on the “no photo” thing as this picture is adorable.
