Morning Glory batik quilt patternIf you are looking for a beautiful quilt pattern especially for a baby…..you will love this quilt! The quilt pattern is the Morning Glory Quilt Pattern by It’s Sew Emma Patterns. There are 3 different sizes in the quilt pattern, I  made the crib quilt which is 32″ x 45.5″. It is no surprise that I picked batiks for my quilt.  Sunday Drive by Pat Sloan comes in regular quilt fabrics and also in batiks.

The white batik that I used for the background is beautiful. It is called Cloud Streams and is part of the Sunday Drive collection. When my neighbor saw my quilt she ordered some yardage of it for a batik quilt she’ll be working on soon.

Morning Glory baby Quilt by Pat SloanI decided to go with only 5 different batik fabrics and I really like the way it turned out. I could see this pattern as a large one for our bed.

  7. I really like this one. I’d love to see it in a large quilt as that “chain” design would be so dramatic on a large scale.

    1. Thanks Mary, the pattern uses several prints in the same colorways and that is really striking also. Bigger blocks would also look neat!
