Dutch Tulips Quilt Along
Today I am taking part in the Fat Quarter Shop Dutch Tulips Quilt Along. I really enjoyed making this quilt in the crib size. The Dutch Tulips pattern has directions and yardage for a crib, lap, twin and queen quilt. It was a little chilly down by the river, I lucked out and the wind died down while I took my pictures!
This beautiful group of fabrics is the Summertime Moda Mix fat quarter bundle with a couple of extra half yard pieces that I used in the quilt. Fat Quarter Shop puts together all kinds of neat groupings of fabrics in their exclusive bundles, which is how I found this collection.
There is a little bit of applique on the quilt and after I fused my leaves on with Heat n Bond Lite, I waited until I quilted the quilt and caught the edges of the leaves with my free motion quilting. I really like the black binding with the numbers on it!Fat Quarter Shop has a beautiful kit for the Dutch Tulip quilt. The kit makes a 48.5″ x 64.5″ quilt in the Sugar Pie fabrics.Be sure to hop over to the Jolly Jabber to see their Dutch Tulip quilt and also checkout the links to the other quilters that are taking part in the Dutch Tulip Quilt Along!
