Baby Zoo Animals Quilt
Here is a precious little quilt that I just finished doing some quilting on. This is another quilt project that our neighbor’s wife had started but never got finished and her daughter asked me to finish it for her. I have also finished the vintage butterflies wall hanging that I showed the other day. The little lion had already been quilted around so I did the elephant and giraffe the same way and then some large loopy free motion quilting. The back is a minky fabric and I was really afraid of getting pleats on the back but it quilted up nicely on my vintage Singer sewing machine. I wasn’t sure what to do with the binding as there was no extra fabric but the backing was big enough that I could fold it over for a mock binding. It isn’t perfect but I don’t think a baby will mind. This baby quilt will be packed away for a future great-grandchild.The baby zoo animals are so cute! It almost makes me want to get a embroidery machine!
Baby Zoo Animals
When I was working on this I remembered that I had bought the AccuQuilt GO! Zoo Animals die……a year or two ago and still haven’t used it! I think I should get it and make a baby quilt! AccuQuilt even has a free quilt pattern!
