Orange Peel Impressions
I couldn’t resist appliqueing all of my colorful batik blocks that I made using the Orange Peel Impressions templates from Fat Quarter Shop.
Last week I shared that I had started making the Goldie pattern and I have continued to work on it a little here and there. I always seem to work on about 3 or 4 projects at a time. I still have to add borders but here it is so far.
I can see all kinds of projects made with the Orange Peel Impressions Quilting Templates.
I am combining batiks and regular quilt fabric, I do that often.Stop by the Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Jabber to read more about these cute templates and patterns from It’s Sew Emma called Orange Peel Impressions. I am working on the Goldie pattern but there are several more patterns, the pattern is for a lap or crib size quilt – I’m going with the crib size.
Isn’t this baseball t-shirt cute! I might have to get one of these!

Did you know that Fat Quarter Shop has a 24 hour Flash Sale every day, it starts at 10 a.m every day and it is always a great deal! Be sure and check it out.
I also have another quilt project on my cutting table that I’ll be sharing next week in the Fat Quarter Layer Cake Pop Quilt Along. Like I said…..I like to work on more than one project at a time. Tell me I’m not the only one who does that!

I did an orange peel last year for the RSC though it is not finished. I like this variation! 🙂

That orange peel quilt looks fabulous. I love that you left some areas blank.

LOVE the fabrics you used Connie! Quilts look so different close up than further away. I did not expect the background fabric shown in your closeup pics compared to the way it looked in the top picture. Really like the way this turned out.

What a pretty quilt.

Love the orange peels! Another one on my way-too-large bucket list! Yes, I have several projects going at once as well. I also have a bunch that have become UFOs because I lost interest.

Good Morning Connie! Your Orange Peel Quilt is beautiful! I have had one on my to do list for years and still have not made one, after seeing yours I think it will happen soon. Yes, I do work on several projects at a time, although I really shouldn’t. It seems like I never accomplish any of my projects, at least not like you do! Have a spectacular day!

Question: Are the orange peel templates heavy enough to use a rotary cutter with them? I’d like to just cut out the shapes, not trace and then cut. 🙂
oh wow. I think i’m going to need to add an orange peel quilt to my bucket list! Such bright, happy fish with IB!

Really pretty – it has a feminine feel to it. I have these same templates but haven’t tried them out yet.
