My design wall is behind my door in my quilt room and since the door is always open……I forget what is back there. This is a batik flower I made some time ago using leftover Budding Blooms batiks from Island Batik, the yellow turned out to be too pale so I never finished it. Now I am thinking about either thread painting it or maybe painting with my Inktense pencils. Or maybe I should do a color wash on the background. What do you think? The flower on the right was enhanced in Photoshop.
I am working on a project for a blog hop next month and I took a picture while I was free motion quilting it. I think it is so neat to see what a difference the quilting makes to a project. Marlene Oddie from Kissed Quilts and Leila Gardunia have a new book out called You Can Quilt – Building Skills for Beginners. I’ll share more on this October 14th.
Last night we sat down by the river with my family and waited for the Red Moon. Hot dogs and a few drinks by a bonfire….perfect!
I took this picture of the river shore that I thought turned out pretty neat…..this could make a great silhouette.
I just had my cell phone and couldn’t really get any good photos. This once was interesting….I didn’t do anything in Photoshop to it. Did you see it? We watched the total eclipse and then went to bed. I woke up around 2 am and saw the most beautiful full moon…..darn I should have taken a picture!
I’m not sure how much quilting I’ll get done today……my dad sneezed this morning and has another bad nose bleed…..we may be heading to the hospital again.
