Paper Pieced Celestial Star in Batiks
Do you remember my Paper piecing Love it or Hate It! post when I asked if you love or hate paper piecing?
Well I finished up my block and just made it into a small wallhanging that is about 18 inches
square. I used some of my leftover Budding Blooms stack of batiks from Island Batik. and the pattern is called Celestial Star by Diane Bohn and information about it can be found on her blog From Blank Pages.
This will hang in my quilt room to remind me that I do enjoy paper piecing…..once in awhile. Here is a closeup of the quilting I did with my vintage 15-91 Singer.
We saw this neat log in the water (not a very good photo) and it looked like it was wound around a rock. We couldn’t get any closer, I’ll have to see if I can go out with my brother in his mud boat and get a better look at it.
Today I’m staying home and will quilt.
