Zig Zag Quilt

I have a new project that I am working on that is using a bright and colorful grouping of fabrics. This is made with a charm pack of Fancy by Lily Ashbury. I can’t remember how long ago I bought it  and wish I would have taken a picture when I opened up the charm pack as the colors were so neat. Using this up will open up a little….room in my stash.

I decided a fast and easy zigzag pattern made with half square triangles would be perfect for showing off the fabrics.

I wanted to add some sashing in between the rows and here you can see where I laid the rows on a piece of muslin before I decided how wide to cut the sashing.

Now I just need to get it quilted!

Love the look of having the sashing strips in this top. Might just have to hit the sewing room.

Cute quilt, Connie. I have a couple of charm packs sitting around with no "purpose" in life. I need to think about this. 🙂

I really like the addition of sashing to the zig zags. It's a great looking quilt.
