I have been meaning to share this center piece that I finished up in
February but for some reason I keep thinking “I’ll share it tomorrow”
and of course that doesn’t happen. So……here it is and I’ll have the
tutorial up on Wednesday………okay, now I’m commited!
Do you remember when I won a giveaway from Christa Quilts and received one yard of fabric from Modern Yardage? Well, that was over a year ago…..and I finally made something with part of it. Of course I had to use some batik also.
This is a traditional block that is very easy to make and adding a little applique really gives it a new look. Any suggestions for a name?
It has been a little busy around here…..just the way I like it. Here is what will be coming up…..I feel like I forgot something….
I have a pattern being tested; 2 more to finish and I am also working on 3 quilts for…..Fall 2015 for Island Batik.
The Farm Girl Vintage Sew Along will start on Friday May 1st and every Friday two different blocks from Lori Holt’s new book Farm Girl Vintage will be shown. I will be showing mine on May 15th.
Fat Quarter Shop has also released a video featuring the Baking Day block made into a potholder. You’ll enjoy it.
I also just finished up the pattern for my Row By Row 2015 for Red-Roxy Quilt Co. in Decorah, Ia and as soon as the fabrics get here I’ll be making the store sample.
Fat Quarter Shop will continue their Classic & Vintage block series and I’ll be taking part in that at the end of May or early June.
I’ll also be taking part in the new EQ7 Season Row-A-Long and I need to get my row designed, I picked Fall as my season.
