It is so much fun showing a quilt outside by the river when there isn’t a breeze.
Last month I only had a few of the sections made of this quilt that I showed in my Two New Scrap Projects post. My plan was for this to be something that I worked on once in a while…….as you can see that didn’t work out.
The other day I pulled out my AccuQuilt GO! and my AccuQuilt 2″ finished HST die, went through my scraps and made all kinds of blocks. What you see below is actually my leftovers! Hmmmm, wonder what I can make with them.
This quilt was in the book Scrappy Fat Quarter Quilts.
Once I had made so many HST blocks I couldn’t wait to lay out the rows on the floor…..next thing I knew…..I had it all put together. There was a quilting diagram that showed long feathers in the black sections. I don’t know if I am brave enough to try that.
I’m not going to trim the edges until I quilt it……which may be a bit. Have you ever done something like this? Plan on a project that should be long-term and then……not be able to stop once you start working on it. I think it is a beautiful design.
