Scrappy Fat Quarter Quilts is a book with favorite projects from Fons & Porter and you will find many ways to use up your fat quarters and learn to combine neutrals with bright fabrics. I received this book from Martingale Publishing to review and the next thing I knew…….I was starting two new projects!
This book has 13 projects in different sizes ranging from easy to challenging designs created by different designers including Edyta Sitar, Elizabeth Hartman, Nancy Mahoney, Liz Porter.
Have you ever wanted to try a tessellating pattern? Milky Way is one which means it is tiled or interlocking. You may think you see stars in this quilt but there isn’t a star block in the quilt.
Candy Store is just too cute! I am so tempted to make this one…..can you see it out of batiks!
Every quilt also has a quilting diagram included which I think is really neat and can give you lots of ideas for finishing your quilt.
Sparkle Punch is a fun quilt with wonky stars, very easy!
There is also a neat snowball quilt.
Monkey Business is a sweet quilt that used the Monkey Wrench block and is shown in blue and white fabrics.
If you are looking for a quilt that will use lots of small scrappy pieces then Triple Four Patch will be a perfect quilt for you.
Scrappy Triangles would be a great quilt to use up lots of half square triangles.
Triangle Surprise uses some bigger pieces and is designed by Edyta Sitar using batiks, homespuns, shirtings and contemporary prints.
Tomorrow I will show you two other quilts that are in the book……..these will be my new scrappy projects!
Did you know if you buy a quilt book from Martingale you also get a e-book when you order a print version.
