Last night the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train went through our little town on it’s way to Muscatine, Iowa. We have the Mississippi river in front of our house and……the railroad right behind our house so we had a perfect view of the train coming through. My neighbor Diannia and little Reizer came over and we sat in her car since it was cold out. The train was supposed to be in Muscatine around 7:45 p.m. but it was late so we took a drive to Buffalo, Iowa and saw lots of cars pulled over waiting for the train but…….no train. We headed back home and eventually it showed up. I barely got a couple photos before it was gone.
The train got to Muscatine around 8:25 p.m. according to the Muscatine Journal. You can read more about the Holiday Train on Facebook. The train travels to many US towns giving cash donations to local food pantries and provide entertainment in exchange for donations of non-perishable foods.
