Last Sunday I showed you my finished quilt – Pretty in Pink that I used flannel on the back of. Well……I decided to use up the scraps right away. What I did was pull out my AccuQuilt Go Baby and my 5 inch Rag Die and started cutting up those scraps.
I only cut 2 layers of flannel at a time and all the cuts were good.
You really get a buildup in the edges and after about 5 cuts I used my tweezers to pull out the pieces.
This is going to be a long term UFO project as I really don’t have flannel scraps but……I know there will be some “created” soon. What I decided to do was cut out the squares, add a 3 1/2 inch square of warm & natural batting in the center and then stitch around the outside edges and then diagonal lines to hold the batting. I have the directions that were on the die package somewhere and I’m sure this wasn’t the way to make a quilt but……this works for me since I’m not going to put it together right away.
