Here is my latest project….a mini-quilt that will be going to International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas. Windham Fabrics issued a challenge for 18 inch mini-quilts from their new fall fabrics and had a very short timeline. You were to be creative and have fun, I love a challenge like that!
The fabric group that Windham Fabrics sent me was Ibiza by Rosemary Lavin. The fabrics will be in stores in December. The pieces were odd sizes, some with cuts out of them. The green fabric that I used for the binding…..I barely had enough for the the binding but…..I made it!
Here is my mini-quilt all ready to go to market and join all the other quilts that will be there.
It is always fun to see the back. I used 4 different thread colors for the free motion quilting that I did on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine.
Call me crazy but……when I let Windham Fabrics know that I had it done they asked if I would like to do another……..yep, I said yes. Now here is the challenge. The next fabrics will arrive sometime Monday and……I will have to complete the mini-quilt and get it back in the mail on Tuesday. Builder Bob just shook his head when I told him, you can understand though…..can’t you??
