I finished up my Tinker Tote and had Builder Bob take a few pictures yesterday so you could see it.
This is a big tote and I like it! The fabrics are Origin by Basic Grey that came out a couple years ago.
So what do you think Pat and Lynn……..have you started on your totes?
I always line my totes in a light color to make it easier for me to see what I stash in them. The only zipper I had on hand was a dark brown one.
I like magnetic clasps and if you’ve never put one in she shows you step by step in the video. I love scrappy look!
If you have never taken a class at Craftsy you might want to sign up for this free class which shows you the basics of making bags.!
These are some photos of the steps to make the tote!
I couldn’t resist showing you the Tinker Tote even though it isn’t done. I am close though!! This is what was all over my quilt room floor yesterday while I was piecing the tote.
I just happened to have a jelly roll, layer cake and….a couple yards of Origin by Basic Grey that had aged…..just a year or…two.
I didn’t even cut into the layer cake….maybe I should have so I could have used some bigger pieces.
I know it is hard to believe that I am sewing on something different than my vintage Singer but I have to say that the walking foot that I now have for this machine is wonderful! I will admit that when it came time to sew the side seams I used my 15-91 Singer as it will sew through anything! I need to get the binding done and then I’ll show you the finished bag!
