Log Cabin quilt projects using AccuQuilt BOB die

AccuQuilt has designed several dies that will make a complete block and they are known as Block on Board.
The die I chose to work with today is the GO! Log Cabin 12-inch die and here are a couple of things I made.
I have been making bath runners for years and I think everyone in my family has at least one.
I also put some of the log cabin blocks together and appliqued this cute lama in the center. I haven’t decided if this will be a pillow or a small wall hanging so it isn’t finished yet.
I used my GO! Electric cutting machine to make the blocks.

I wanted to show you the different cuts on the log cabin die. I actually lifted the batik fabric from every other cut so you could see it.
This is a big die, it is 10-inches wide by 24-inch long. The finished log cabin blocks are 12-inches square.
Log Cabin Bath Runner
I made smaller log cabin blocks for my bath runner. I just eliminated a couple of the last rows. I quilted a little feather design in the center of the bath runner. You can see that I just used 2 log cabin blocks. It measures 8 x 16 inches.
Here you can see the back and the quilting.
I made 8 inch blocks but with the die you can make up to 12 inch blocks.
I definitely think this will be a pillow.
I still had some blocks left so I added a couple more rows and will make a couple small table runners that will be 10 inches by 20 inches.

Great post, Connie! I love the addition of the llama on that piece and think it will make a really cute cushion cover. Love your feather quilting! What a versatile BOB block! You can make the blocks larger or smaller depending on your design.
