The end of August seems to mark the end of summer. The kids are back in school and the days are getting shorter….it is still hot and humid but pretty soon we will be burning wood to keep warm.
I was busy this month completing 2 quilts for Island Batik that will be shown at Fall Market and I also finished patterns for both of them. There is a big difference between writing a digital pattern and a paper pattern but I got them completed, printed, stapled and put into their cute little ziploc bags and samples sent off.
Then it was time to relax a bit and then get ready for a couple blog hops and also design another pattern you can find here.
There were a couple posts this month to update you on Pelly. This is one of my favorite photos of him and the visitor he had for a short time.
I also got a call last week that he has finally been taken to the St. Louis zoo. The zoo was excited to get another White Pelican. He will have a 30 day quarantine before he will be put with the other pelicans. They will clip his wings so he can’t fly away this year but next year if he chooses to leave he can. He will also get to be around visitors in the zoo. I am so happy and thankful that life has turned out so well for this beautiful bird.
