For the last 7 days Island Batik, Tammy Silver and the Island Batik Ambassadors have been sharing projects from Tammy’s new class on Craftsy. She asked me to do a review of her class which I was very happy to do as I love Craftsy classes.
I was very impressed by watching her teach the different projects in the class. She is a natural teacher, very clear and easy to follow. It was fun to watch and learn the steps for each project. You get to try basic quilting, paper piecing, applique, making a scarf and of course the neat flower quilt!
The Halloween pattern used is available individually here but if you take the class you get ALL the patterns used in the class and her great videos! I don’t know about you but I am a visual person so I really liked the videos.
Tammy is also offering a discount on her class, just click here.
I decided to make a quick flower that is from Mary’s Contrary Garden lap quilt. I used some of my Island Batik Amber Ale fabrics. There are 2 sizes of flowers and I did the small one. There isn’t much contrast between the fabrics I used so I did a little free motion flower in the center.
I have already finished a quilt using these beautiful fabrics that I’ll share soon.
Here is a closer look at the flower,
I have already shown 2 other projects that I have done from her class and if you missed the posts be sure and click on the links.
Thank you Tammy for the great projects and Island Batik for the fabrics!
Be sure and also visit One Quilting Circle today as she shows another great project for the Tamarinis blog hop.
