Do you remember the Star Sampler blog hop I took part in last month at Inspired by Fabric?
The blocks have been assembled into a beautiful quilt and you can find the tutorial to piece this neat quilt here. I really, really love the sashing around the blocks! It really pulls all the different blocks together.
The beautiful fabrics used were Marblehead Venetian Glass by Ro Gregg for Fabri-Quilt.
My block was shown on the first day of the hop, do you remember which one it is??????
Here is my star block and the cutting directions:
I like to stitch my HSTs (half square triangles) as shown. It is also a good idea to trim them and make sure they measure 2 1/2″ inch square after you have stitched them.
The diagram shows where the pieces will go in the block.
Placement of the corner sections.
This shows you the way I sew the sections together and then the rows.
Completed block. I hope you enjoy this block!
After I made my block I had enough fabric left over to make this neat pillow that you read about here.
I have this beautiful bundle of fabric called Block Party by Ro Gregg coming from Fabri Quilt, Inc. which I’ll use for a tutorial that I’ll share next month! I can’t wait to get it.
