Friendship Quilters Guild Trunk Show

I am very happy to let you know that I had a lot more fun doing the trunk show for the Friendship Quilters in Elizabeth, IL than I thought I would and thank you so much for all the sweet comments that everyone left the other day!!

This was taken after my presentation, my big smile is one of relief……I did it!

Barb Jansz on the left is the president of the guild and she is the one who invited me and also encouraged me to do this. Thank you Barb! Rita Wadman is on the right and we got to stay at her beautiful B & B called Hellman House.

The view was wonderful and our  beautiful room was the Hellman Master Suite. Rita also fixed us a great breakfast. The photos below are from her website. Thank you Rita!

There was a Shot & Tell before my presentation and I took a few photos, I would have loved to share everyone’s work as they were all wonderful.

Monica showed this beautiful quilt she made……look at all the small blocks!

The next day we spent time shopping in downtown Galena, IL.

What does any quilter do when they visit a new town…..stop at the quilt store. We picked up a few goodies at Phat Quarters. I have been wanting to make something with the chalkboard fabric for the grand-kids so I bought 3 pieces of it and Kimberly found a spiral table-runner that she wants so she bought some fabrics and I picked up the 10 degree ruler. The pattern will be mailed to me.

Connie, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog! Yours is one I read eagerly.
I'm so glad for you that the trunk show went well.
I do like your typo–at least I hope it was a typo–"shot and tell." Gives a real different meaning! I can't help it, I'm a word freak, and love the irony of the mistakes *I* make.
