Here is a little mug rug that I made using some leftovers from other projects.
I think it makes an interesting design and….my coffee cup likes it!
It is a Quilt in a Day book called Day & Night Quilt and INCLUDES the acrylic template needed to make this design. I have always liked her books – lots of pictures – lots of detail. Everything is cut in strips to begin with.
I ended up with quite a few leftovers because I washed my fabric before cutting and in the directions you are told exactly how long the strips need to be and…..washing/drying does shrink it. Eleanor Burns books are always full of details and I wish I still had my original Quilt in a Day Log Cabin book she wrote over 30 years ago. Have you ever used any of her patterns?
You end up with leftovers and there are projects for using them. It might be time for me to get the book back out and make something new. Of course that would mean I would have NEW leftovers……and the cycle begins again!
