Are you ready for Valentine’s day? I have a couple of table runners done and I borrowed my neighbor’s bench to show them to you. Julie, (my SIL) if you are reading this….HI!
We have been getting a lot of snow and here is a pile that came from me shoveling our deck. Yesterday the snow was just like powder….no weight at all. If you were a kid, this wouldn’t be the kind you would like…..no snowball fights or forts being made.
Take a look at the Mississippi river, it is completely covered with ice and snow. If I didn’t know better I would think it was a corn field that you could walk across. That is an island on the other side. It has been about 3 years since we have had the river freeze like this. My brother (who lives next door) has seen coyotes come out on the ice but I had missed them. 3 years ago I saw them all the time, there was one open spot that the geese would be in and the coyotes would come across. Did they really think they could catch one?
Can you see how the snow looks like cotton in this photo!
Would you like a tutorial on this table runner? You can find it here.
In the tutorial I make the large one but the smaller one is made the same way only using 2 inch squares instead of 3 inch.
I also have a couple of other projects that are perfect for Valentine’s Day. This wall hanging continues to be one of my most popular posts. You can find it here.
Enjoy your Sunday!
