I finished up a table topper that will be neat on the table for fall. The fabrics were fat quarters that I picked up on our trip to Minnesota in September.

I just happen to have a tutorial for this little piece here. I really enjoy making the little blocks out of 2 1/2 inch squares.

I used my Sizzix Big Shot and a flower die for the center piece.

Here is a cute little tow pushing barges down the Mississippi river. As long as the river stays open….the barges will continue up and down the river.

The trees are losing their leaves along the Mississippi.

My dad’s birthday is Saturday and he will be 81 so last night we went to the Casino for dinner and a little gambling. He always enjoys it…..me….not so much. I could have bought fabric instead!

The blog hop For the Boys starts today so be sure and check out the new projects! Just click on the button below to visit.

Really pretty topper and so perfect for the season. I love that it is a little bit atypical from the usual.

Sunflowers remind me of my Dad, he always grew several kinds in various places – seeds for the birds that he so loved to watch. Very pretty. We have had a cold snap and a bit of snow and leaves are gone and all the lovely flower beds put to sleep.

Your FMQ is just perfect! I so wish I could get the hang of it! Need to practice more. The trees are getting naked here too, soon they'll be covered with snow! Happy, Happy Birthday to your Dad!
