Quilting Lazy Sunday
This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share a commission. My Lazy Sunday mystery quilt is on the frame and getting quilted. I love having the big frame….just wish I had a long-arm sewing machine.
Can you see the amount of space I can stitch? It is only about 3 to 4 inches so I don’t do anything fancy, just some simple meandering.
I really do like it for big quilts, small ones I still just do on my other vintage 15-91 Singer that is in a cabinet in my quilt room. This is set up in the living room and you wouldn’t believe how much I got done on it yesterday……just because it is always ready for another row of stitching.
I chose a pretty wild orange fabric for the back and I really like it. I have no idea what I’ll use for the binding yet.
I first started working on the Lazy Sunday mystery quilt in May and I’m finally quilting it!
It was the end of August when I started putting the quilt together here.
I think Jo from Jo’s Country Junction is doing a weekly update on Bonnie Hunter UFO’s before the new mystery quilt starts so I’d better see if I can get this done before tomorrow!
Bonnie Hunter from Quiltville will be starting a new mystery quilt soon called Celtic Solstice.
BEAUTIFUL ! I didn't know you could do this set up !
It looks great Connie. I love all the bright colors in it.
I, too, would love to see a video Connie. You basically move your machine like you would if it was a long arm machine, right?
Absolutely amazing Connie! I was gifted a featherweight 221 in October and my mom is giving me a frame at the end of this month, you make me think of all the things I might be able to do!
That is amazing Connie, I would love to see a video. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
What kind of frame set up do you have?
I'd like to see a video of you quilting with the machine too , amazing !
I would be non-stop with a frame set up. I've been looking at a mid-arm, but will be moving in the spring and not sure I will have the space.
This quilt is so very pretty Connie
I agree – you are a wonder! I'm always telling people what you do with your Singers, too.
I'm amazed at what you can do with that Featherweight. I always tell my friends about you. I know what you mean about lack of space. I only have a Pfaff on a frame and my space is limited to 5".
After seeing what you do with only 3-4" I'll never complain again. You are a wonder.
