Is this a new table runner pattern???? Nope, it is the start of a tote bag but I thought I might get a giggle out of you if you thought it was a runner. When I’m not out in the living room using the quilt frame this is the little project I’m working on now.
I put another quilt on the frame with my 15-91 Singer sewing machine and showed a peek yesterday this quilt is called Blue Ridge. Many people have thought this was a featherweight sewing machine but it isn’t. It is a full size domestic sewing machine made in 1951. I have had this one for over 20 years and just love it. I have another 15-91 in my quilt studio for piecing and quilting small pieces.
Everyone keeps asking for a video and I did try and make one yesterday……with one hand quilting and the other hand holding the camera. A little too jumpy and I was amazed at how noisy my machine was……no wonder I have ringing in my ears all the time. Anyway, maybe I’ll have Bob help me do a video one of these days. My camera does .avi files so I’ll have to find out if that will work and how to get them on YouTube.
I found this photo that I took in March……I can not believe that I have had this pieced this long! I saw the quilt called Blue Ridge on Bonnie Hunter’s blog and I think the pattern is in one of her books. It is a great way to use up 4 patches and half square triangles. Her new mystery quilt will be starting soon, are you going to take part?
