It may be hard to believe but…..I have one more project made with the Summer Breeze charm packs. I think I had 4 packs. I still have 5 little flowers cut with my Sizzix Big Shot but they will go in the box of “someday additions”.
I knew I had a couple blocks….err…..last year that I had originally made for a pattern I was working on and also a long piano strip. It was almost like Christmas when I found them! I decided to make a small table runner.
The size is approximately 16 inches by 25 inches. Small ones like this are perfect for the table in our house.
I did some little swirls on the white border.
I remember when I first made the blocks I wasn’t happy with the way everything blended together. Now that I have worked them into a runner I have some new fabrics I think I will try out again and see what happens.
I always cut my binding 2 1/2 inches wide, fold in half and on this I sewed it to the backside first and then top stitched it on the front.
I used the same blue fabric on the back that I used on the little teapot mat.
Here is the back of the table runner.
I pieced and free motion quilted this on my 15-91 vintage Singer sewing machine.
If you missed any of the other projects I made with Summer Breeze you can click on the links to see them. The scraps are now gone!!
