Sienna Arrows Quilt
I completed my UFO (unfinished object) for August just in the nick of time and I’m calling it Sienna Arrows. I had it all quilted but didn’t have the binding on it. I never could find leftovers of the border fabrics….I know the day will come when I find a bundle of binding all ready to go.
It won’t matter as I found a tan that seemed to match pretty good and used it.
The whole quilt is made up of half square triangles. I saw a quilt like this in a magazine ad and really liked the pattern. I don’t remember if I had one or two charm packs and I can’t remember the name of the fabrics, sorry. I don’t usually use colors like this which is interesting because I really like the look…..maybe it is because it makes me think of autumn….my favorite time of year.
My first blog post about this quilt was here and I did quilt this on my quilt frame with my vintage 15-91 Singer. We haven’t had rain for almost a month and you can see how dry the grass is.
I used two different fabrics on the back and Warm & Natural batting.
The quilt really does lie flat…..the grass is long and uneven. I like this photo with my brother’s mud boat in the background.
I am linking up with Melissa at A Lovely Year of Finishes.
We are taking a trip to Minnesota to visit Bob’s mom and will be leaving today. I have a couple posts ready to go and we will also have internet in our motel……if I’m not too tired….I’ll be checking in!
