Garden Maze Applique Flower Quilt

Garden Maze Flower Quilt

The Bloggers Quilt Festival Spring 2013 put on by Amy over at Amy’s Creative Side is going on and I almost missed it! I am entering my Garden Maze in the Applique Quilt category.
Garden Maze Applique Flower Quilt

The flowers were all free motion appliqued on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine. some of the petals and leaves are made using my Sizzix Big Shot and others were hand cut by me.

The quilt measures 50 x 72 and I originally posted about it here.

It wasn’t that long ago…..March but if you would like to see it outside in the snow check out the post.

I also free motion quilted it on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine.

The background of the flowers are string pieced blocks. I have plans to get a pattern together for this after I make a few changes.

Great quilt, Connie. I especially love the string-pieced b/g behind the applique. It's wonderful.
