Welcome to my day on the April Showers blog hop and if you haven’t been here before be sure and check out my tutorials…..you might find something you’ll like.
Thank you to Madame Samm for this fun hop and thank you to our cheerleader Erin! I am sharing this hop with many wonderful bloggers.
April showers always make me think of May flowers so I had to create a little mug rug of flowers to brighten up our dreary Spring that we have so far……no flowers in the yard yet!
I grabbed a piece of batik for the background and then pulled out boxes of little flowers and leaves that I had on hand. Most of them were cut with my Sizzix Big Shot and already had Heat n Bond Lite adhered to them. I did a post here that shows me cutting with the Big Shot and more info.
I can’t wait until I have “real” flowers outside just like this!
All of my stitching and free motion quilting was done on my vintage 15-91 Singer sewing machine.
Notice anything in the photo???? My brother not only replaced the motor of my machine but was also able to get another one working for me. We had to buy a new foot pedal and a few other things and now she sews like a beauty! For now I have her setup on some plywood pieces until Builder Bob has time to make a base.
Be sure to check out all the other blogs today!
