I finished up a couple of my January projects…..2 bath runners and I also had a little bit of leftovers that I made into a mug rug. Can you tell by the fabrics that I started these last fall. Several people were asking what bath runners were so scroll down to the end to see one way to use them.
Gosh, time is just flying! Tuesday was the 15th and it is time to check in with Melissa and Shanna to show how your January project is doing. Here is the mid month post where you can see how far everyone is and also add your own link.
Here is what I shared as my January challenge that I would finish…..not a big quilt…..just small runners.
I just used muslin on the backs and Warm & Natural batting.
Then I did a simple free motion quilting on them. I finished the 2 with black binding but the others ones will have cotton cluny lace as I don’t have fabrics that match for binding and I’ll get them done by the end of the month.
Here is a bath runner on the back of my toilet. I thought I had posted this picture last fall but maybe not….I might have been waiting to write a tutorial…………and never got it done.
The little runners don’t HAVE to go in the bathroom, I’ve had friends use them on small tables and also on a kitchen table with napkins and salt & pepper sitting on it. I’ve been making these for years.
My dad has NO appointments today so I am looking forward to a full day quilting, cleaning up my room and….probably starting a few new projects.
